Description Stranger Things – Season 4
Drama / Sci fi / Horror / Mystery thriller. USA 2022. Darker and denser than its predecessors, Stranger Things‘ fourth chapter sets the stage for the show’s final season in typically bingeworthy fashion.
Main advantages
- The show still manages to be the best fun for the summer with smartly hidden pop-culture jokes
- The series can still give you a show, have a emotional impact on you, even in these fictional worlds
- Final episodes packed with emotions and tension
Main disadvantages
- Some parts of the presented plot-twists are a bit weaker then others
- In some places you can’t fight the feeling, that nostalgia for the 80’s is now replaced by the nostalgia for the original first seasons

Stranger Things season 4 finale review – so perfectly judged it could be the ending for the entire show
It could even be an ideal finale for the whole show – except when it’s all apparently over and you tap the progress bar at the bottom of the screen, there’s still half an hour left.
Anyway, Netflix have commissioned a fifth and final season. It’s hinted that this will involve a disaster on a global scale rather than a conspiracy only a select few geeks know about – and with the core cast no longer minors, some adjustments are surely necessary. But Stranger Things is at its best when it’s local, intimate, innocent and homespun, and it feels like we’ve told that story now. We’ve left home. Read full review…
Stranger Things: Season 4, Part 2 Review
The final two episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 are the series at its most emotional, action-packed, and tension-filled. There are as many thrills as you could hope for, but also quite a few lovely, tender moments between characters we’ve come to care so much about. There are so many series-best performances that it’s hard to single out any in particular, but it’s especially nice to see Noah Schnapp’s Will get a bit more attention than he did in Part 1. It still ends up feeling a tad bit unwieldy – a hard thing to avoid when juggling this many characters and storylines – but ultimately, these four hours pack in just about everything a Stranger Things fan could ask for. Review: Stranger Things Season 4 Wraps with a Satisfying but Safe, Action-Heavy Conclusion
Stranger Things’ Season 4 ends with a strong, action-heavy conclusion and some of the most memorable scenes since Season 1. It gives series-best performance opportunities for Brown, Sink, and others, and the weaving of the disparate plotlines and locations is most successfully handled here. It’s a strong conclusion. On the other hand, there are still some bafflingly missed opportunities that blunt its emotional potential and tension. Nonetheless, it’s a fairly satisfying season ender that directly connects to what we can expect from Season 5, so there are plenty of opportunities to cash these in in the future. Read full review…
Stranger Things: Season 4, Volume 2 Review
This long-awaited season finale is, inescapably, formulaic. Whilst there is a certain unexpected Infinity War-esque air about the way things wrap up, the journey to get there doesn’t break new storytelling ground. It does, however, execute that journey incredibly well, and make you feel closer to these characters than ever before – and with a cast this good, a saga this grand, and a world this richly painted, that’s more than enough. Stranger Things Season 4 Review – A return to form for Netflix’s flagship series
Given the torrent of bad TV that’s been released this year from big name franchises, it’s refreshing to find a show like Stranger Things break that mould and deliver an amazing season of TV.
Sure, some of the plot lines could have been tightened up and the finale could have been improved (despite clocking in at 2 and a half hours!) but these are minor points in what’s otherwise been one of the better shows released in 2022. Read full review…
