Jurassic World Dominion Review – Something old, something new, and the dino, Blue
While Jurassic World Dominion is most certainly an imperfect addition to the Jurassic Park franchise — particularly with the rough presentation of some newer dinosaurs and its lack of faith in audience intelligence — it manages to introduce an impressive marriage between ever-present nostalgia and the constantly evolving challenges of having prehistoric creatures roaming free in our world. Characters new and old keep the film flying high, even if some of the Claire and Owen stuff makes the plane’s engine sputter now and again. Read full review…

Jurassic World Dominion review: ‘Exhilarating’
Be warned: like so many contemporary blockbusters, Jurassic World Dominion is way too long. I could have done with two or three fewer incidents in the hectic plot, not to mention eight or nine fewer instances of someone saying, “It’s all right, we’re safe,” only to be proven drastically wrong a moment later. But the film’s only major fault is Trevorrow’s desperation to ensure that viewers get their money’s worth. Jam-packed with silliness, spectacle, intrigue, romance and just about everything else, Jurassic World Dominion has regular popcorn-spilling scares, exhilarating, expertly choreographed action set pieces that would earn a tip of the baseball cap from Spielberg himself, and the numerous characters all have plenty to do. With its jocular nods and winks to those characters’ histories, the film also gives you the distinct feeling that the actors were having a blast. Viewers who don’t take it too seriously should have a blast, too. Read full review…
Jurassic World: Dominion Review
Ninety minutes of footage like this, minus any characters or plot at all, probably would’ve resulted in an artistically better use of a couple hundred million dollars than “Jurassic World: Dominion,” which will doubtless be a smash on the order of all the other entries in the franchise, even though it doesn’t do much more than the bare minimum you’d expect for one of these films, and not all that well. Jurassic World Dominion Review
“It never gets old,” says Sattler about the joys of studying dinosaurs, but what’s absent here is the series’ staple of wonder and awe. If we are living in a Jurassic world where dinosaurs are presented as that workaday, now might be the time to stop. Read full review…
‘Jurassic World Dominion’ Extended Edition Review: Fan Service and Fun Make for a Dino-sized Good Time
Despite its initial (and frankly somewhat confusing) poor reception among critics, Jurassic World Dominion has grossed over $974 million at the global box office and there’s a reason the film was review-proof. With many audiences coming back for repeat viewings, Dominion doesn’t have to be groundbreaking to be good. The movie is a campy yet heart-pounding thrill ride wrapped in nostalgia and just the right amount of fan service to make it an excellent summer action movie. Seeing the whole franchise come together for one last epic dinosaur romp filled with humor, horror and a happy ending is exactly what I wanted from this movie, and I’m so glad I got it.
